Brazil has been confirmed for Day 3 of the WSOP Championship. This Sunday, the field for Event 90 (the $10,000 6-hand NLH Championship) was reduced from 550 to just 30 players, including Bruno Volkmann and Felipe Mojave.
Millionaire-worthy prize, Bruno Volkmann emerged from the competitive bubble to make an impressive start and manage to take 1,380,000 in chips to finish in the top ten. Felipe Mojave is slightly behind with 660,000 in chips in 23rd place.
Fun names are also still in the running. Jamie O’Connor is the CL overall winner with 2,545,000 in chips. Farid Jattin (1,935,000), Stephen Chidwick (1,615,000), Phil Hellmuth (860,000), Andrey Pateychuk (820,000), André Marques (475,000) and Eric Baldwin (380,000) are some of the standouts looking for WSOP bracelets.
Three Brazilians also received an ITM as part of the competition. They are: Renan Bruschi ($69-$17,596), Tauan Naves ($50-$20,110) and Pedro Garagnani ($34-$28,938). The trio just missed the final day of action.
The final day of competition will begin this Sunday at 5pm. The idea of the organization is to keep playing until the champion is decided. The blinds are again 10,000/25,000 with a big blind ante. The prize pool is $28,938, with the winner taking home $1,057,663.
